What an agent can do
The tools available over MCP, by area.
Once connected, an AI agent has the same reach as a
member of your team, grouped into read tools (mcp:read) and write tools
(mcp:write). Anything that sends is still held for your approval and still
subject to the sending gates.
By area
Onboarding and setup Check setup status, add and verify a sending domain, set the brand voice, invite members, approve join requests.
Contacts List, get, count, create, import, and delete contacts. Create custom fields with an optional backfill. Create, update, and preview segments.
Templates List, get, create, update, and delete templates, or archive one instead of deleting it when something else still depends on it. Validate a tree before saving, compile it to HTML without saving, and get a shareable preview link. Apply and manage layouts. Bring designs across as raw MJML.
Campaigns and sequences Create a sequence, add and reorder steps, set triggers and goals, validate the whole flow, and set it active or draft. Draft a campaign with its template and audience, list and read campaigns, and update or delete a draft. An agent cannot send or schedule a campaign: that stays a click in Pombo.
Sending Send yourself a test, send a transactional email by key, and read recent sends with their delivery status.
Images Generate an image from a prompt, or upload an existing one, and get back a hosted URL for a template.
Analytics Read an analytics summary over a date range, scoped to a template or sequence.
API keys Create, list, and revoke REST API keys for your own backend.
The migration flow
The tools people reach for most are the ones that stand up a new account or move one across from another platform. See migrating from another platform.
