Email style

Set the colors, fonts, and button shape every template inherits.

Email style is a small set of visual defaults, set once per organization, that every block template renders with: body text color, heading color, link color, button color, button shape, and the font family. Set it and a template you generate or build without touching colors comes out on brand instead of on the old built-in purple.

Setting it

Go to Settings, Brand, in the "Email style" section. There are color pickers for buttons, links, headings, and body text; a Square / Rounded / Pill toggle for button corners; a font select; and a live preview of a sample email as you change them. The same page also has a Generate with AI button that can propose colors and a font from your website, alongside your logo and brand voice.

Only values you move off the default are saved. Saving unrelated settings never turns "no style" into a full style, and never triggers a needless recompile.

Buttons follow your brand color with nothing to configure. If you set a brand color and never touch the email style section, generated and built templates already use it for primary buttons.

What it affects

  • Templates built in the visual editor that don't set their own color on a given block.
  • Templates drafted by AI, both from scratch and "describe the change" edits.
  • Existing block templates: changing the style re-renders them, so a template you haven't opened in months picks up the new look on its own.

It does not touch:

  • A block, section, or button that sets its own color. The style is a floor, not a lock. A deliberately loud campaign that picks its own palette renders exactly as written.
  • Raw MJML templates. Those carry their own complete document and never used the defaults.

Going off brand for one email

Nothing to disable. Set the colors you want on that template's sections and buttons and they win over the style. The style only fills what a template leaves unspecified.

Brand color and generated templates

Beyond buttons, the brand color guides AI template generation: headings and accents may use it or a tint of it, and the model won't invent an unrelated palette. With no brand color set, generated templates stay visually restrained rather than reaching for color. See brand voice.
