Connect an agent

Pombo provides an MCP server so a compatible client can work with your account. It can draft campaigns, import contacts, build sequences, send transactional email, and migrate an account from another platform. Pombo logs every call, and sending still requires approval.

Authentication

The server uses OAuth 2.0. Add it to your client as a remote MCP server, then sign in to Pombo and grant access. There is no API key to paste because the client handles the token. If you belong to more than one organization, the client can pass an X-Pombo-Organization header to pick one, otherwise your first organization is used.

Clients

Anything that speaks MCP over HTTP and SSE works. Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Cursor, and VS Code all support adding a remote server by URL.

Scopes

Tools are grouped as mcp:read and mcp:write. A read-only connection can list and inspect. A write connection can create and update. Sending is still gated by account approval, a verified domain, and the weekly cap regardless of scope.
